Thank you very much. I have 100’s of them in my yard from about1/2″ to 4-5″ long so I am glad they are no threat. I also have black widow and brown recluse that like my garage and back porch so I have built in security!
A robber would be a fool to go through there, that’s for sure! Brown Recluse bites can be dangerous, especially for young children. Widow’s are less risky, but still no fun. Looks like you’ve got your very own guard dogs!
This looks like a female wolf spider (the one with the egg sack on her posterior) eating an orbweaver. The legs look like Larinioides cornutus. A male spider wouldn’t be attracted to a female that has kids ;( she wouldn’t be putting out pheromones while she has fertilized eggs in the sack. This is a cool photo of a fight to the death.
Male and female. Found in dirt tunnel. No idea what they are.
Definitely a Wolf Spider. Unsure of the type.
So… definitely not dangerous then? The Male ate the female!
Wolf Spider bites don’t usually require treatment. And hey, he’s gotta eat somehow! Lol
