Amaurobius ferox is the closest spider that I can think of. Mine was similar to a Woodlouse Hunter in its defensive pose. I peeled back bark on a rotting log and found it cocooned in a little bit of silk with the cephalothorax sticking out. There is similar-looking material, like the spider silk, under the much of the loose bark.
