About quarter size with leg span. I am located in Louisville, KY. I have no idea about spiders and could not find a similar picture online. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Triangulate Cobweb Weaver (Steatoda triangulosa).
Thank you!! I see now, a common house spider. Sounds like they can be rather helpful, but not in my clothes basket… :(:(:(
Yeah, these and Cellar Spiders (Pholcidae) I tolerate indoors as long as they keep out of sight they earn their keep, but I draw the line at my clothes basket. 🙂
