Does anyone know what type of spider this is?
I have never seen a spider move this one. That's what caught my attention. It reminded me of a squid or octopus the way it moved.
It used it's 4 front legs in tandem in front of it. 2 legs on the side to balance and the back 2 to push/propel.
It was on a chair we removed from an estate and were unloading.

I did attempt to look it up before posting here but had no luck.
Maybe Tibellus elongus? Your description of the walking gait is interesting.
I did look up the spider you mentioned, close but not it going by pictures.
The spider in the picture above, its head location seemed to be under its legs. It didn’t have any markings only a faint darkness on the tip of its legs and body.
I did a reverse image search on google with no luck.
The movement was very odd.
I see spiders all the time working for an estate sale company, but this one is one I have not seen before.
