Comments & ID Thoughts
I believe this to be a wolf spider of some sort. It was quite aggressive as we were digging in the backyard and accidentally found her burrow.

Hoping to get a positive ID on her. She obviously had a large egg sac. We found another of the same species not far from her that was also aggressive when bothered.
Hi, many spiders will act aggressively when there are eggs or hatchlings nearby that they are protecting. Maybe a burrowing wolf spider species?
Yes I wasnt surprised to see her acting aggressive at all. And I will have to look into different burrowing species. We have many of them in our yard and woods. We have seen many females with egg sacs. I’m just making sure they’re not dangerous as I have a 4 year old who plays in the back yard.
I now believe that after searching through many pictures here on this site that she is a Tigrosa georgicola. Do you agree with this?
