Hi, this is a species of false widow, possibly Steatoda grossa. They aren’t considered dangerous for most people, but they probably shouldn’t be allowed to stay near a baby. Babies have undeveloped immune systems and may react poorly to venom. These spiders only bite if they are grabbed, trapped, or pressed against skin. All of these things are more likely with a baby than an adult. So, no need to panic, but like if there was a wasp in the room it would be prudent to remove it to the outdoors.
