I found four of these dark brown spiders in the cabinets of the house I just moved into. They look like some type of widow to me. One has spun a small web and laid eggs in the jar I collected them in. The house is only used in the summer and is very damp most of the year. The house is on a lake and the dirt basement is usually flooded in the spring.
