I think this is a common brown house spider.

I ran into this spiders Web last night, but she stayed off me. Went to check on her this morning as she was gone without a trace. I waited till nightfall and she has set back up shop. I did not see her all day. So she must reside in the shrubs during daylight hours. Also is very fuzzy with little hairs.
Hi, she’s an orbweaver. The webs they make are distinctive, the spiderweb emoji is based on them. We can do identifications to species more accurately with the dorsal side of the spider. From her legs and your description she may be Neoscona crucifera, a Hentz Orbweaver. Yes, they are nocturnal. In the morning they’ll often eat the web to regain the nutrients plus pollen protein and water condensation.
