Hi, this may be Amaurobius ferox, a Black Lace Weaver. They look for enclosed dark places to live. That’s probably how it ended up in an earthenware pot. Mine live in the holes between the stones of the foundation of my old house. Outdoors I find them under rotting lumber. Their prey is crawling insects that accidentally step on their dark-colored webs that lie flat on surfaces.
