He's about 2-3 mm. What is he?
Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Running Crab Spider (Philodromidae/Philodromus sp.).
Ok, I thought those laid pretty flat- this one is up on it’s legs. Also, this one was coming down from the ceiling on a silk strand. Do running crab spiders spin webs?
Also, he’s spun a little bit of a web in the jar we have him in
They don’t spin webs to catch prey, but would for a retreat, an eggsac, or sperm web. Here is an image of one in a retreat:
