Looks like it is! The eye pattern is certainly that of a wolf spider.
Thank you, my Apt. Has a lot of these in it, I have captured four. Should I just let them be? They seem to be coming in from extreme heat.
Do you know how they are getting in? If the heat is unusual and record breaking for where you live you can set up a cooling station outdoors so they can eat insects while staying cool and hydrated. To be discreet and so people won’t find you too weird you can just keep soil under shrubby damp.
Thank you, I was concerned they were Hobo Spiders.
I believe under the front door, I need to replace the seal. I started finding them right after I moved in around April, I believe they were already established, and mating. It was not as hot then, now it get’s up to 105F. I posted pictures of them earlier in a jar with rubbing alcohol.
When they do yard work outside with leaf blowers, I have noticed them heading towards my door, very large ones. Most likely disturbed during the day, as a side note.
A friendly side note – Hobo spiders are no longer considered toxic to humans as reported by the CDC. The former reports claiming the bites could cause necrosis were never validated to actually be Hobo spider bites.
All studies to test those claims, as well as any verified hobo spider bites on record, have shown no skin reactions in humans.

Thank you. Your link is contaminated with pop-up scam advertising so I couldn’t actually read it under the free Walmart gift card scam windows. I’ll check for a direct report from the CDC for a link to post.
Upon closer inspection there are four smaller eyes just under the front two, with two above those. I really don’t like pesticides, like professionals use. I had a cockroach problem in this same complex, from the neighbor above.
No issues in this one.
They are a bit creepy, and some are fairly large, but I don’t think they would be living in here if they didn’t have a food supply.
I will seal the door, and try keeping the soil damp outside..
Thank you ::)
they may be hobo spiders. You should be careful as hobo spider bites are dangerous.
Welcome Resh! This is a Wolf Spider. They’re in a different family than Hobo spiders and aren’t dangerous.
