This photo was taken in Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica. I have another picture of this spider with a baby near her/him in the web, but could only download one picture.

Looks like a Golden Orb Web spider. Usually in a large wide web spanning a big gap, and a few more nearby in other webs.
Yes, the Latin name recently was changed to Trichonephila clavipes. Tusy, please submit the other photo as a new post. The little spider in the web is probably a male trying to mate with the giant female. Sorry we haven’t had time to identify some of your other photos yet. The photos will stay available for viewing and ID under the locations that they are attributed to. We have some really overdue ones. 🙁
