Comments & ID Thoughts
Two weeks ago I was bit by a spider while doing dishes. It felt like a bee sting and my finger swelled up twice the size. It then turned into a large bruise and spread a little but got better the next day. Today, while doing dishes, this shiny black spider was crawling up the sink. It had a white-ish or gold-ish marking and was probably the size of a nickel. No hair, just shiny. I have a second photo but couldn’t upload it?

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This looks like a False Widow, Steatoda borealis if I’m seeing it right. The site is new and still under construction, for the time being additional images have to be submitted separately.
