This spider bit my husband while on the toilet. It's swollen but not painful, so far? Need to ID so we can see if we need to drive to town for the hospital!

Red-brown body, darker face; butt portion is black with a golden pattern kinda chevron-like

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Hacklemesh Weaver in the genus Callobius. They’re not considered to be of medical significance, everyone’s immune system is different though so see a doctor regardless if he develops any symptoms that give reason for concern. I hope he has a speedy and uneventful recovery.
