What is this? Looks like a daddy long leg but it has a head and a body and is raising its behind at us when we get close to it! Is it dangerous??
Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Long-bodied Cellar Spider (Pholcus phalangioides). People also call them Daddy Long-legs. A bite from one of these would most likely produce little to no reaction – everyone’s immune system is different though! They’re not anything to worry about, in fact they can prey on much larger less desirable things.
