Hey all! I created this profile because I’m not sure what spider this is. The picture was captured at 9:40am EST. I’m thinking it could be a possible Woodlouse Hunter? It was running across the basement floor. Basement is finished except for the molding around the floor. It is usually cooler than the rest of the house

You are correct, Woodlouse Hunter, Dysdera crocata.
Do you know anything about this species that I should know? Lol! Talk about scary
Lol these spiders primarily hunt woodlice, or as we call them down here, pill bugs. The large jaws and fangs look pretty intimidating, and they can easily pierce a pill bug’s tough armor. He or she might be in your basement looking for damp areas where pill bugs might congregate. A good place to relocate these spiders is outside in some wet soil, or maybe some rotting wood, or decaying leaves, as their prey the pill bug feeds on decaying vegetation 🙂
