I can’t tell for certain, but this looks like either a furrow orbweaver, Larinioides cornutus, or one of the orbweavers in the genus Neoscona. In any case, the effect of the bite would be mild, no worse than a bee sting. Keep an eye out for infection, which is always a potential problem with spider or insect bites or stings.
I think it’s Larinioides cornutus because the leg band markings are black and greenish brown. Neoscona has more colors on their legs. The leg band colors are more reliable than other markings colors.
