Comments & ID Thoughts

Found this in my gecko's terrarium, just after adding some new live sphagnum moss. Think it came from the moss as not sure where else it could have. The moss doesn't say where it's from. The spider has red legs and a bluish body. It is about 3mm. Never seem one like it before.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Unfortunately I’m not sure what this is. It almost looks like a Diving Bell Spider (Argyroneta aquatica) which might be found in sphagnum moss, but … the abdomen is perhaps a bit too devoid of hair … do you have any other images that show different angles? Eyes in particular can be helpful. Maybe someone else will recognize it.
