No a spider this big is never dangerous. Thankfully Lebanon do not have any form of dangerous spiders. This is not a spider this is a Tarantula. More specific an old world Tarantula. It feeds on insects such as roaches,crickets and earth worms. Life span can reach up to 7 years for females. Treat it with respect and try to release it to the wild if you catch one.
Tarantulas are spiders. They’re Mygalomorph spiders, which are more primitive than Araneomorph spiders, but they are still considered spiders. Also, plenty of dangerous spiders are big. You’re correct that there are no deadly spiders in Lebanon that get particularly big, but in other parts of the world (like South America) there are deadly spiders that are absolutely gigantic.
