Aw, that’s embarrassing for the kid. I got stung by a bee on the inner thigh in public when I was a girl. The attention and wound inspections by adults were humiliating. The spider is an Araneus species, possibly Araneus marmoreus male or immature female. The venom is not medically significant. The spider bit the patient because it panicked and was physically uncomfortable when it was trapped between skin and fabric. A potential medical issue is spider venom allergy.
