There are 3 separate webs coming off the same branch of the same tree.. just attached to separate weeds on the ground with hatching broods.
The webs are really interesting. I’m not totally certain of the species. The conical tubercles (spines) of the three Micrathena species in Eastern North America are: M. gracilis has 5pairs, M. sagittata has 3 pairs, M. mitrata has 2 short posterior pairs. If there is a short spine that isn’t visible, that would make this Micrathena gracilis.
