Comments & ID Thoughts

Neoscona crucifera--picked a dead leaf off of the Red Oak in the back yard and noticed this guy all tucked up very neatly. He didn't move for the longest time. I brought him in so we could observe. When I took him back out to take a picture, he became more active, but he might just turn himself around and then he'd get all tucked up again.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 You’ve actually found something a bit less common, Eriophora edax.
