Found on middle of our bed in Selina Hostel, Monteverde, Costa Rica, after returning from the bar. It may have come in on my coat. It looks a bit Hunts man. I prodded it to get it into the bin and at no point did it exhibit any wandering spider behaviour. Outstretched legspan was approx 2.5". It's mandibles looked like a short pair of legs held forward and down.

Hi, this is a male crevice weaver in the family Filistatidae. It looks like a southern house spider, Kukulcania hibernalis. Not dangerous in any case.
