Dolomedes cf. triton
I've always wondered what kind this was. I found this near my pool when I was opening for the season. That same weekend I ended up contracting a serious staff infection in my leg that put me in the hospital for the better part of a week. I was always curious if somehow this spider had bitten me and caused the infection, but I was never able to figure out what kind of spider it was, and never saw it again.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Fishing Spider (Dolomedes), likely D. triton (Six-spotted Fishing Spider). It’s an unlikely suspect in the infection story, not impossible though.
