Just found this on my father’s yard. Never saw one like this before. Does it sting or bite?
Hi Estela, I saw a similar one in my backyard located in Camuy, which is about 50 miles from your location. I uploaded my photo as well to see if someone can help identify it.
A garden spider it has st. Andrew’s cross legs
Not dangerous…beneficial spider
Maybe Argiope argentata, a Silver Garden Spider. They hold their legs the same way, but have a different range. Definitely an Argiope species and a beautiful photo.
