This is a juvenile of one of the Long-jawed Orb Weavers in the family Tetragnathidae. The resting posture you describe is characteristic of the Tetragnatha species.
Thank you for the input!! …I was wondering, because this one was mostly green (I’m assuming because it being juvenile?) and wasn’t the mostly brown color of an adult.
