Comments & ID Thoughts

I asked some other people what they thought it was. I received numerous different opinions. It was dangling from a strand which came down quite close to me. That is what made n assume that it must not be a brown recluse..tho i saw a picture of one just like it in this forum that had been identified as a brown recluss

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a male Cobweb Spider, tentatively the Common House Spider, Parasteatoda tepidariorum. Where here is there a spider that looks like this one filed as a Recluse? There should not be.
