I’m in Northern Kentucky. I’ve lived here for 21 years and have never seen a spider like this. It made a web from the top of my porch to the bottom which is around 7.5 feet tall and 10 feet wide (just a guess). Before you go to assume that the back of it are eggs, from my research, eggs usually make the spider look larger. The white part on the abdomen is as if it were cut in half; it’s not a full sphere. The white part is flat. It’s legs in the pic are scrunched up but when it walked it’s as if they stretch and retract when it lays down. Weird little thing.
