My first photo submission. Meant to write in attributes. But wanted to say that in person, the pattern on this dark brown spider was a lovely iridescent rose color. Does it help to mention the little guy was very fast?
Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a likely a Western Parson Spider (Herpyllus propinquus). There’s a few others similar out west. I occasionally come across Eastern Parson Spiders (H. ecclesiasticus) where I am, and yeah … they can be crazy fast!
