Black and Yellow Garden Spider. A lot of people are asking about these…I remember the first time I saw one; they are truly eye-catching.

I’ve never seen this spider in Nebraska. Any idea what it is would be appreciated .

Our site only has one confirmed photo of Argiope aurantia in our photo gallery. It was sought out for the site as a representative photo of the species from your state. So, they aren’t common in Nebraska. Orbweavers are spreading to new states, mostly to the north as the climate and habitats change.
