Notice another photo of this unusual spider on your site, ....that web is MOST unusual and as it is in both photos....looking identical it's a mystery!

This is a beautiful example of a Black and Yellow garden Spider (Argiope aurantia). These are orb-weaving spiders that build their webs in gardens.. duh. That zig-zag in her web is a stabilimentum, scientists still aren’t sure exactly why garden spiders build these in their webs. If you find a small spider on or around her web- that’s the male. The females of this species are evolutionary giants compared to males.
