Comments & ID Thoughts
This is the second time I have seen this kind of spider at my house. Please can anyone help me identify it? Im terrified of them, and also, what can I do to keep them from showing up again?!

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 I can’t see your spider very well. The general appearance looks like a Jumping Spider (Salticidae), not really an indoor species but they wander in by mistake. You can reduce the number of spiders you see in your home by sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation etc., vacuum everywhere and empty the canister outside.
Thank you so much for the info. This is the second time in a 2 week period that I have seen this same kind of spider inside my house, specifically in my kitchen area. I’m always cleaning and declutering to keep away bugs and insects. I keep doors and windows closed at all times. Im puzzled as to how not one, but two of these made their way in. Could there be more? Should I hire a professional? We live in a new construction but have been here for about 6 months, could have they been here all along?
They probably weren’t there all along as they’re better suited to life outside, but that’s just speculation. They’re not anything to worry over.
