I’ve looked at several images online and at first I thought it might be an Orb Crossweaver however, the more pics I viewed (especially the underside views) I’m beginning to think it is a Brown Widow. My daughter found it in her “green” recycling bin but did not want to disturb it or turn it over to see the topside markings.

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 Yes … this is a Brown Widow (Latrodectus geometricus). Orb-weavers make a more organized orb-shaped web.
