Does anyone know what this spider is? I got bit by one and have a big welt and cannot figure out what it is.

Does anyone have an idea what kind of spider this may be?
Looks to be a Hentz Orb-weaver (Neoscona crucifera).
A Furrow Orbweaver, genus Larinioides. The venom isn’t medically dangerous. You should wash and disinfect the bite mark because it is a puncture wound. How did you get bitten? What did it feel like? I would like to know because people ask about what causes bites and how it feels. Hope it feels better soon. 🙂
Yeah Furrow Orb-weaver looks way closer, I guess I’m not as good at identifying orb-weavers as I thought.
Admitting that you have a problem identifying orbweavers is the first step. 😉
I just call them all BBOs (Big Brown Orbweavers)
And that’s a way of avoiding facing the problem. 😉
