Comments & ID Thoughts
Hi, I’m not sure what this is. I seen it in Victoria Australia. I think it may be Albino as I cannot find any spiders which are supposed to be white in this area. I have other photos from different angles but I’m only able to upload one at a time. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Looks like Cryptachaea gigantipes to me based on the translucence and dull abdomen coloration.
I agree with the suggested ID. 🙂 Welcome to Spider ID.

Thanks guys, looks spot on to me. Ive been doing some googling and im a bit confused. So this is a member of cobweaver family which includes widows. Does that make this a widow?
Hi, no … for it to be a Widow it would need to be in the same genus – family/genus/species. Your spider is in the genus Cryptachaea, Widows are in the genus Latrodectus. For perspective, domestic cats and lions are in the same family.
Ah right, makes sense! Thankyou
