Comments & ID Thoughts

Found this lovely hunting with another, this one came out of the shadows under the eve when I sprayed its twin with a spray bottle of water for creeping out into my big fat orb weavers web. She hadn’t a clue and I wanted her to recognize the threat. I later gathered them up and carried them off to hunt elsewhere. The orb I have watched since it was a skinny young thing. My guess is wolf spiders. Wolf spiders are generally solo though - 6 days later I caught another pair coming down from the roof, one waiting at the eve on the edge of the web where she resides during the day, while the other came down the other side from the power lines. It was on the opposite side in the web several rings in, creeping closer.
