Comments & ID Thoughts

Due to the generally black skin tone of the Spider, I assume it's Tigris Grandis and not the other Tigris types. Note there was a pair of them and they seem to have left since working on the garden. I did not manage to inspect the genitalia. Are you kidding me? :)

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Wolf Spider (Lycosidae) as you already surmised. The species is Tigrosa georgicola.
