Names I’ve heard used for Argiope aurantia so far:
Black & Yellow Garden Spider, Yellow Garden Spider, Black & Yellow Argiope, Writing Spider, Banana Spider, Fruit Spider, Big Yellow, Garden Orbweaver, Zipper Spider, Corn Spider, Golden Garden Spider, Hay Spider. This thing is the Puma concolor of spiders.
