Anyone know if this is a banded Garden spider? Male or female? If female should I be looking for the eggs sacs to destroy?
Yes, Argiope trifasciata. Female. No, there is no reason to destroy her egg sacks. She is not dangerous. If spider webs annoy you or you are afraid of spiders you could relocate spiders and egg sacks. There really is no need to worry about them swarming you. The spiderlings will try to distance themselves from each other. That reduces competition and in-breeding. Have you had problems with too many Garden Spiders in the past?
First one like this I’ve ever seen. “Google a picture” function helped me identify. I am scared of spiders, this one got my heart rate going.
