Comments & ID Thoughts
North Platte River approximately .25 mile away. I had recently sprayed down the entryway to my house, flushing away all spiders, webs, insects, etc. This big dude showed up a week or two later.

I’m NOT familiar with spiders, but this fella is definitely foreign to me.
Actually, your fella is a gal too. She’s an Orbweaver spider. She isn’t dangerous to people. This is her underside, we use the topside (dorsal view) to identify most species. She would choose a location to place her web that has a squared frame shape (like an entryway) and insects. Having an entry light on at night lures nocturnal insects, which lures spiders. If you would like identification to secies level you may upload a photo of her other side as a new post.
Just uploaded dorsal view (88459) – thx for the ID
