Would you even say its a “cross orb weaver”? In Sweden we only call them cross spider.

Like any animal with a widespread distribution, A. diadematus had multiple common names. On this site we typically call them Cross Orbweavers but Cross Spider, Common Garden Spider, etc. also refer to the same species.
