What type of spider is this? Should I be worried that it was in my house?

Hi, welcome to Spider ID. 🙂 This is a Dark Fishing Spider (Dolomedes tenebrosus). Like most spiders they have venom but are not considered to be of medical significance and are unlikely to bite except in self defense. They’re not really an indoor species so it likely wandered in by mistake. If you see more like it indoors you can try sealing cracks around floors, doors, windows, foundation etc.
