Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

This little beauty was found dead as is just in my tent this morning. We are located in a semi desert region (coober pedy) of South Australia. First thoughts was a deadly funnel spider which could make sense as this would surely live in the ground being there is really hardly any vegetation or anything around. How ever I really don't have a clue.. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,and welcome to the site. Your spider is a male huntsman spider, family ‎Sparassidae.
I might suggest one of the Holconia species. (grey huntsman.)

Intimidating, but quite harmless.
