Spotted this rare spider in our pasture/farm yard in Augusta Michigan. This spider is known to have only been spotted in California and Michigan.

Sorry, I think this is Pisaurina mira, a Nursery Web Spider. You did a great presentation. Our site moderator, Itsy Bitsy makes the final determination of an identification if it there is doubt about an ID. Please don’t let that stifle discussion about identification though. That’s how we learn.

I was always told this was a grass spider here in Maine. Are they the same or similar?
