Black & Yellow Garden Spider?
Yes, Argiope aurantia. This one has the element symbol AU for gold and it has gold legs. Agiope argentata starts with the element symbol for silver, AR (argent). The people who name them were thinking they looked like they looked gilded with precious metals ( that’s on-record). That’s how I memorized these species names.
