Found this big guy after mowing the yard was blowing leaves and grass off cement and seen him come running out.

should I call the exterminator or am I safe? Only big spiders in Michigan I know of are wolf spiders and it don’t really look like one.
Heck no! I think this is a Trap Door Spider and the yard work triggered the trap door. He’s looking for the prey he thinks got away. People are not Trap Door Spider Prey. They don’t make the trap doors that big. There’s a couple of visible spots in the photo where the spider might have a tunnel that it hides.
