No idea what kind of spider this is. It was the first time ever seeing one.
I found it on my car but that isn’t an option on the outdoor traits question so I’m just picking something else.

Doors anyone know what type of spider this is?
This looks like an Orchard Orbweaver, Leucauge venusta. The markings are quite bold. We don’t have any confirmed sightings for the species to our site for Rhode Island yet. They have been found in several states for the first time for our site this year. I’ve seen many of them this summer in New Hampshire. They are pretty spiders with their silvery abdomen and green metallic-looking legs. “On car” is a great suggestion for our location options!
