found this one on the garage. we live in the country.
any idea what he/she/it might be?
She’s an Orbweaver kind of spider in family Aranidae. She is really round because the eggs maturing inside her are almost ready to be oviposited in an egg sac. During sunny hours the females find a spot next-to where they build their web and hide and rest there. That’s what she is doing in the photo. Her web should be visible by flashlight at night. The spiderweb emoji is based on the orb web. I can’t get that emoji to work here, unfortunately. She isn’t dangerous to people. Her egg sac will look like a yellowish tuft of fiberfill.
