She’s an Orbweaver spider in family Aranidae. She’s big because her eggs are reaching maturity inside of her. She will soon oviposit them into an egg sac and she will shrink noticeably. I don’t give a more specific identification from her underside. She is not a medically dangerous spider. She sleeps in a hidden spot during sunny hours and builds a web next-to that spot to catch nocturnal insects.
Found this huge thing tonight. I’ve never seen anything like it, it has considerable weight, it made a thud when we put it in a plastic container.
