Dolomedes scriptus, Striped Fishing Spider, guarding hatchlings as they emerge from their egg sac. I have several photos that I can post if needed. Before the hatchlings emerged she guarded the sac from the exterior of the stone embankment. She moved inside when they emerged toward the brook. The next day there was a rain storm and they all dispersed or were washed into the brook.
